Why do people use materialism as a benchmark whether one is "successful" or a "failure"?

Why must a car show that a guy is "successful"?
Why must a girl's boyfriend need to have a car before the girl is considered "lucky"?

Why must a girl be decked in "branded" clothings or own a "branded" bag to feel good?

Why must a girl, who is not as rich, scrimp and save just to buy that 1 designer bag to boost her self-confidence?

Why do people try to create a persona that is not truly them, but instead is someone who they try to be?

Why am I surrounded by materialistic people?

CAN YOU ALL GO READ "TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE"???

FUCK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
